During Warren Spector's Epic Mickey roundtable, GameXplain seemingly stumbled on a juicy bit of information straight from the noted game designer's lips. Warren was fielding questions left and right from a smattering of game journalists. Luckily, eagle eyed Derrick noticed an odd little tidbit in the game that caught his attention.

As the lead character designer made his way through one of the 2D sidescrolling levels, Derrick noticed that the obsessively collecting designer had Mickey collect a film reel titled "Mickey and the Beanstalk." Immediately, we put the question to Mr. Spector: "Would Epic Mickey feature classic Mickey cartoons as unlockables for a younger audience that might not have experienced them before?"

The usually composed Spector suddenly grew flush. His terse answer barely addressed the question except to say that something like that would be a great idea, and that he'd have to move on the next question. When the entire assortment of journalists there laughed at his response, he reasserted that this wasn't a joke, and he'd have to move on. The crowd grew hush as we contemplated the implications of this odd answer to a pretty straightforward question.

At this point, we're pretty sure that Disney's latest Mickey adventure will not only hearken back to the beloved character's past, but actually allow player's to relive it through some classic cartoon shorts. Spector's answer was too obviously evasive, and the inclusion makes too much sense not to happen. Let's see it happen, Disney!
