E3 2011: Assassin's Creed Wii U First Details

Details of Ubisoft’s plans to bring the Assassin’s Creed franchise to the Wii U were announced during Nintendo’s second Roundtable meeting at E3. No video was shown of the game, but plenty of details were announced.

 

·         Goal is to expand franchise and add new features

·         Wii U's multicore processor perfect for game engine

·         Large memory of console brings many performance enhancements

·         Able to Reuse assets across platforms

·         Development team prototyped many ideas

·         Persistent on-screen map on Wii U controller

·         Interactive database on controller screen

·         Fast weapon select via controller

·         Eagle vision now also on controller screen

·         System's familiar APIs ease development

·         New hardware allows them to be more creative
