So Nintendo's just released the latest 3DS upgrade into the wild, and with it comes some serious enhancements to the Mii Plaza channel, in the form of new options and a Find Mii sequel, which can only mean one thing...new hats! Here's the three we've unlocked so far...
Arwing Hat

Yoshi Hat

Pirate Hat

And there appears to be around 55 more to go! You'll unlock more hats as you work your way through Find Mii 2, where you'll now have to now only rescue yourself, but your two uncannily similar children as well. While the adventure itself plays similarly, it's been outfitted with several new options, such as teaming up wqith another hero to increase your attack strength or buying potions (which enable you to power-up or bring back fallen hereos, among other options). These additions more than double the amount of options available to you, adding some depth to what was otherwise a fun, but limited adventure before.
In addition, Puzzle Mode has has several more puzzles added, such as the Donkey Kong Country Returns one below. One new addition though are the pink pieces in the center, which cannot be bought by using coins and instead require you to obtain them via Street Pass--tricky!

The background now also changes between a fall and winter setting, adding some variety to what was pretty ordinary (check out the cute lil snowmen!)

Finally, some brand new options have been added, such as a sound test (allowing you to play the music you've encountered up to that point) and Accomplishments, which are basically Acheivements. While I already unlocked 32 of them simply based on my previous StreetPass experience, the rest of them seem pretty tricky (such as meet 5 girls in a row,,,good luck with that!). Finally, a world map has also been added showing where everyone you met is from. It's neat, but the interface could use some work as it requires you to scroll through country by country.

All in all, the update to Mii Plaza is one of the coolest additions to the 3DS yet. Nintendo added a substantial amount of content while expanding upon the Channel's features. It really makes us wish Nintendo would further embrace the power of DLC, as this update demonstrates they know how to do it successfully.
